Heavy Metal: Beast Lacrosse Club wins Gold in 3 Divisions at the Sunshine State Games

 They did that in a big way, winning the U11, U13 & U15 Divisions and finishing 3rd in the U19.   The U11 defended their win last year with a solid performance scoring over 60 goals in 4 games, including a comeback win in the Championship
Beast HS A team wins Bronze
The U15 Beast Club overcame a 1st day loss to the Bay Area Sand Sharks U15 to beat the same team in a thrilling Championship game on Sunday.  Using a stifling defense and timely scoring the 15’s won their 1st tourney in Team history.  The U19 team finished 3-2 and took home the Bronze Medal.
Beast’s Ron Miller (Team Florida/Barron Collier HS), “We were very pleased with the outcome of this tournament.  Our kids played well and we had many positives.  We play our U17s at 19 and they did a good job.  Frank runs a great tournament and everything went smoothly.  Look forward to returning in 2012.” Naples based BLC draws from the following HS’s:  Barron Collier, Gulf Coast, Bishop Verot, Naples, CSN, Golden Gate, Lely & Estero.    www.beastlacrosseclub.org
Beast U15 Won Gold
game over Monsters Lax.  The U13 team was dominant in defending their 2010 title by winning their division again.  Scoring over 60 and giving up 5 goals in 4 games, they were the class of their division.  This team has 3 Team Florida Members (Miller, Mahoney & Briggs) and 3 Brine MS National All-Stars in (Miller, Ihm, Kolberg) and won the Championship going away against the Bay Area Sand Sharks.

In two short years the Naples based Beast Lacrosse Club has put itself on the map, both in Florida and Nationally.  Loaded with Team Florida players and Brine All-Americans/MS All-Stars, BLC went to the

Sunshine State Games in Wesley Chapel looking to prove that last year was no fluke.
