Jax Bullies Put on Training Camp during Lacrosse Club Event Jan. 7, 8

Who:  Jacksonville Lacrosse Club, Jacksonville Bullies and Community PedsCare What: Jacksonville Lacrosse Club’s Second Annual Community PedsCare Benefit Tournament When: Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Jacksonville Bullies Training Camp from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.) Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, noon to 5 p.m. Where: Landrum Middle School 230 Landrum Lane Ponte Vedra, FL Why:  Jacksonville Lacrosse Club involves tournament age athletes from the Jacksonville area in a two-day event.  Proceeds benefit Community PedsCare, a pediatric palliative and hospice care program of Community  Hospice of Northeast Florida that helps children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. During the event, each lacrosse team is assigned a patient and family from the Community PedsCare program as honorary guests on each sideline. Cost:  The event is free, but the club does suggest that spectators make a $10 donation at the Community PedsCare tent and receive $10 in Moe’s Bucks valid at any Moe’s Southwest Grill.   Note:  The new North American Lacrosse League (NALL) Franchise, the Jacksonville Bullies, will conduct a training camp during the event.
