Jupiter Defeats Vero Beach 13-2 at Home

Jupiter extends its unbeaten season with a home victory Tuesday night. The Warriors started fast, jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. At halftime it was 7-0 Jupiter. Vero Beach scored first in the third quarter, followed by 4 Jupiter goals. In the fourth quarter, Vero Beach scored 1 goal and Jupiter scored 2, for a final score of 13-2. Daniel Soviero was the leading scorer for Jupiter with 5 goals and 1 assist. Jesse Foertmeyer had 2 goals and 1 assist, Peter Cox had 1 goal and 2 assists, AJ Bonardi, Tyler Lombardo and Steven Cox each had 1 goal and 1 assist, Macgregor Monroe and Brandon Scheele each had 1 goal, and Jared Hebert and Craig Coughlin each had an assist. On defense, Shane Bogue had 3 ground balls and 4 takeaways, Jared Hebert had 5 ground balls and 2 takeaways, Connor Alexander had 2 ground balls and 2 takeaways and Braylen Sampson had 2 ground balls. Goalie Stone Wharton (St. Joseph’s) had 8 saves and 4 ground balls. For Vero Beach, Colton Pierce and Trey Tench each had 1 goal. Gunnar Flincham and Tyler Martin each had 1 assist. Matt Hughes led the team with 4 ground balls, followed by Treyson Pierce with 2 ground balls and a takeaway. Goalie Jeff Ley had 11 saves. Jupiter plays a District game against Jupiter Christian at home on Thursday and Vero Beach plays a District against St Edwards, also at home on Thursday.
