Lake Brantley Assistant, James Foote, Named New Head Coach at Trinity Prep

Foote, a Virginia native, was a three-year letter winner in lacrosse at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, FL playing attack. He went on to play men’s lacrosse at the University of Central Florida from 2002-04. During the 2004 season James served as the Team President and helped lead the club to its first ever Southeast Lacrosse Conference Tournament appearance. Foote began his coaching career in 2005 at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, CO before returning to Central Florida in 2008. Upon his return to the Orlando area, Foote began his term as the Assistant Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach at his high school alma mater of Lake Brantley for the 2009 season. During his time at Lake Brantley, the Patriots compiled a record of 62 wins and 18 losses, along with one FHSAA State Finals appearance, three FHSAA State Semifinals appearances, and four district titles. Foote currently serves as an Assistant Coach with the Rollins College Women’s Lacrosse team, where in 2012, the Tars made their first ever NCAA Division II Final Four appearance. Foote has extensive experience coaching on the club level and serves on the staffs of the Florida Possums Lacrosse Club and RC Elite Girls Lacrosse Club. In addition to these duties, James works as the Director of Camps & Clinics for the Team Florida Lacrosse Club and is the Team Sales Representative for Grassroots Sports in Orlando, FL.” “My number one goal for the Trinity Prep Boys Lacrosse team this year isn’t about wins and losses, but rather creating an environment conducive to learning and a culture of hard work and commitment. I’m a firm believe that if you take care of the small things, the wins will follow.” Coach Foote added, “Trinity Prep has a lot to offer by way of facilities and staff to athletes and administrative support. I’m looking forward to taking advantage of these resources to help educate and grow our players in order to take the first steps toward building a successful program.”
