(Mar. 18th) – Lake Highland (7-1, 4-0 district 9) recorded their third win of the week Friday night against host First Academy, downing the Royals 17 – 1. The Highlanders controlled the tempo from the outset but had numerous scoring opportunities end with errant shots or turnovers. Morgan Clark steadied the ship and found the cage twice in the 1st quarter as LHP opened a 4 – 0 lead. The Lake Highland offensive machine shifted into high gear in the second period, scoring eight goals from six different players. The third and fourth period was played under a running clock. All-American Will Rotatori led all scorers with 6 goals and 3 assists. Morgan Clark added 3 goals and Davis Anderson and Clay Phillips each had a pair. The Highlanders now prepare to close out their district schedule against host Bishop Moore on Wednesday, March 23rd.
