BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s lacrosse program is set to host both a professional clinic in the summer and an ID camp in the fall. The Professional Lacrosse Clinic is designed for boys and girls who are goalies, defenders, faceoff specialists and shooters. Accomplished players and coaches will be teaching each specific clinic which include All-Americans John Galloway and Joel White from Syracuse’s Class of 2011, former John Hopkins faceoff specialist Mike Poppleton and 2015 USILA Honorable Mention All-American Hakeem Lecky of Syracuse. The goalkeeper/defensive clinic will be on Friday, July 29 from 5-7 p.m. and the faceoff/shooting clinic will happen on Sunday, July 31 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All four clinics are for all age groups with the programs being held on the Perper Intramural Field, just across from Bobby Campbell Stadium. Check-in and registration for each clinic will begin 30 minutes prior to start time. Campers have to bring their own helmet, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, lacrosse stick and a mouth guard. Goalkeepers must provide their own chest protector and athletic support. A certified athletic trainer will be on duty while clinics are in session but health insurance coverage, or accident insurance, is required. Each clinic will cost $100, with a required $50 nonrefundable deposit due at the submission of the application. The remaining balance is due a month before the clinic starts.  No refunds will be given to campers who voluntarily leave camp or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons.
