MCC Overcomes Slow Start to Run Away From Viera

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
MCC started sluggish in this one (maybe still feeling the effects of the PV game on Wednesday) and Viera came to play. Viera led 5 – 4 after the first period scoring 4 goals on a 3-minute man up situation. After knocking off the cobwebs, MCC then went on to outscore Viera 18 – 1 the rest of the way. MCC had 7 kids in the scoring column led by Zach Fleis and Dylan Lowdermilk with 10 points each (Zach 6 and 4, Dylan 3 and 7). Quinn Lowdermilk added 4 goals and 3 assists. Long pole, Alex Ponce had a nice defensive game with 3 take-aways and 7 ground balls. The leading scorer for VIera was Wallace with 4 goals and 1 assist.
