Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
A young Miami-Palmetto team dropped their season opener at home to a solid Coral Shores team by the score of 10-6 on Tuesday. The Panthers had a two goal lead at half, but the defense allowed several transition goals, giving Coral Shores the momentum they needed to get the win. Later in the week, Palmetto bounced back with a win over Palmer-Trinity. After a great start and a 5-2 lead at half, Palmetto failed to convert several opportunities during the 3rd quarter, and kept the door open for the Falcons in the fourth quarter. The Panthers were able to withstand a late charge, and sealed the win at 7-4. Palmetto junior attack Austin Ambercrombie was essential to the Panther’s scoring in both games during the week.” Palmetto takes on back yard rival Miami-Killian at home on Tuesday this week, followed by a trip to Coral Reef on Thursday.
