Next Level Showcase Event at Citrus Bowl Saturday June 2 at 3:00pm

Lake Brantley Alumni Jake Bernhardt will be playing in the Next Level Showcase on Saturday June 2
The Jamlando team features some of the bright stars of college lacrosse including Jake Bernhardt (Maryland – Lake Brantley), Will Rotatori (Princeton-Lake Highland Prep), and Tanner Gard (Jacksonville-Winter Springs.)  The Terps’ Garret Manno (Winter Park) is playing in the game along with 2012 Timber Creek alumni and Assistant Coach Patrick Foy (Presbyterian College).  They will be looking to show the young up and comers a little bit about what to expect at the Next Level. The 2012 Team will feature All Americans Jake Rooney (Hofstra-Timber Creek), Sergio Salcido (Syracuse-Winter Park) and Dave Moore (Saint Leo-Lake Mary).  Other seniors on the team who are headed to Division 1 teams next season include Jacksonville University commit Trey Muniz (Boone HS) and face off specialist Dylan Davis (Virginia Military Institute-Trinity Prep.)  The 2012 team will also feature several other players who starred in the Central Florida Senior All-Star game last week like Cody Prizer (Tampa-Lake Highland Prep) and John Kissick (Florida Institute of Technology-Boone HS). The face off for the Next Level Showcase is at 3:00 and will take place in the Citrus Bowl.  The game is part of the huge tournament event taking place all weekend on the Citrus Bowl grounds.  This weekend the Citrus Bowl is host to the Sunshine State Lacrosse Championship as well as the Citrus Bowl Summer Face Off

Sponsored by the Brine National Lacrosse Classic, the Sunshine State Lacrosse Championship will serve to showcase the top high school lacrosse talent in Florida. Players will be given a unique lacrosse experience, exceptional competition, and the ultimate challenge to be the best. 132 of the top high school players from the State of Florida will compete on six regional teams to determine the best of the best! 25 of the top players will be selected from the Sunshine State Lacrosse Championships to represent Florida and the Southeast region at the 2012 Brine National Lacrosse Classic this summer in Maryland. The Citrus Bowl Summer Face off will feature over 45 youth and high school teams competing in tournaments at all age brackets.
