Oxbridge Reports Violations, Forfeits Wins

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
From our good friend Wells Dusenbury at the Sun Sentinel Oxbridge Academy has elected to forfeit all of its athletic victories from the past two years after self-reporting numerous violations to the FHSAA. New Oxbridge president David Rosow outlined the news to parents today in a letter obtained by the Sun Sentinel. The decision comes on the heels of the school’s massive personnel shake-up in May, when president Bob Parsons, athletic director Craig Sponsky and football coach Doug Socha were let go. According to Rosow, an internal investigation uncovered violations that involved “inconsistent application of administrative procedures with regard to financial aid.” School director John Klemme, Rosow, new athletic director Pat Hollern and an outside investigator brought in by the school met with FHSAA officials in Gainesville in mid-July to admit wrongdoing.
