The Sharks had an impressive season opening 20-2 win over Providence on Monday under the lights at EverBank Field. The game was never in doubt as the Sharks took an early lead. Twelve different Ponte Vedra players tallied points during the game. Leading the Sharks in points were Scott Applegate (3G, 2A), Nicky Carnicelli (2G, 3A), Miles Silva (3G, 1A) and Cody Legeza (2G, 1A). Also scoring for the Sharks were RJ Garcia (2G), Logan Taucher (2G), Evan Weiner (1G, 1A), Jason Randolph (1G, 1A), Garrett Boyle (1G, 1A), Reece Andrews (1G), Dalton LeMaster (1G) and Rob Peeters (1G). Goalies Ryan Applegate and Colin Peaks each had 2 saves. Ponte Vedra faces Lake Highland Prep at home on Wednesday.
