Chase Hancock, a 2013 midfielder at Bartram Trail High School in Jacksonville, has committed to Furman University and Coach Richie Meade. Hancock, who is a two sport athlete, will finish high school as a three year varsity letterman in both football and lacrosse. He played in the Baltimore Summer Kickoff with the Jacksonville Lacrosse Club (JLC) and was an All-star selection. He played in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic where he also received All-star honors. He was a member of the Florida 22 team that competed at the Brine Shootout and he concluded the summer with Team Florida at the Battle of the Hotbeds. “The opportunity to help build a program and to play for such a well respected coach coupled with the academic reputation of Furman made this an easy decision”. “I would like to thank Creeks Lacrosse founder, Coach Rob Jennis, for introducing me and so many others to this great game”. “I would also like to thank my Bartram Trail High School coaches and teammates and the coaching staffs of the Jacksonville Lacrosse Club and Team Florida”. “I would especially like to thank Coach Brian Duncan who believed in me and took a genuine interest in my development. Coach Duncan is a big reason that I will have this awsome opportunity to play at the next level”. “Finally, I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for their endless support and encouragement”.
