At first it looked like Bolles was going to be able to hang in there with the Scots.  But St. Andrew’s made them pay for every mistake.  It was 6-1 at the end of the first quarter but the game looked close.  After that, however, depth, speed, and experience took over. The Saint Andrew’s Scots used a pressure defense, strong goaltending, and a balanced offense to pull away from the Bulldogs. St. Andrew’s owned every facet of the remaining three quarters with.  Jake Levine caused multiple turnovers with tenacious rides including a goal off of one busted clear. Levine added two others and an assist, Steven Reall scored twice, Grant (Taco) Mahler scored twice as did Andy Wheeler.  Senior midfielder Alexander Bartzokis played great in between the lines and scored two.  Brandt Guldin added two goals. Twelve players recorded a goal or an assist for St. Andrew’s. Michael Armour, Reid McCool, and Thomas Lounsbury, and Jason Weperin all contributed to an absolutely stifling defense. Goalies Corey Etcheverry and Connor Poetzinger (11 saves combined). Junior goalie, Connor Poetzinger, recorded a second half shut out during his time in the net for the Scots. For Bolles, Justin Fitzgerald scored both goals. One unassisted and the other assisted by Ryan Kirchhoff. Dexter Carter Jr. also played a nice game for Bolles.  He showed great speed through the midfield. The Scots will face-off against Palm Beach Gardens Thursday at Saint Andrew’s in their home opener.
