Timber Creek’s Jake Rooney Named FloridaLacrosseNews.com’s Player of the Week

Jake Rooney (Hofstra) and his Timber Creek teammates played three high quality opponents last week defeating Lake Brantley, Bartram Trail, and loosing a great game to Ponte Vedra 10-7. Jake had 3 goals against Lake Brantley, 5 goals vs. Bartram Trail, and scored 4 times against Ponte Vedra. Through the first 12 games of the season Jake has scored 57 goals, 18 assists, and picked up 18 ground balls. Congratulation to Jake Rooney on being named FloridaLacrosseNews.com’s Player of the Week. Other players nominated this week included; Bishop Verot’s Marc Krispinsky– 8 goals 4 assists against Sarasota military academy. Benjamin Senior Rob Dattolo (Rutgers) had 4 goals vs. Lake Mary and 1 each against Bishop Moore and McDonogh in a solid week for his team. We had a pair from Ponte Vedra nominated – Brendan Francis (ATT) Navy and Anthony Pradella, (ATT) Reinhardt.  These two have been teammates since 7th grade and teamed up for a great week.  STATS for three games this week:   Francis- Creekside, 5-5, Hagerty 4-2, TC 4-2 for a total of 13 goals and 9 assists in 3 games.  Pradella: Creekside 3-0, Hagerty 6-0 and TC 4-1 for a total of 13 goals and 1 assist. Andrew Bonnie – 3 goals, 4 assists in helping Hagerty to its biggest win in school history over Winter Park. Harris Stolzenberg 10g, 9a in two wins last week, including a 5g,4a performance against Saint Thomas Aquinas.
