Kyle Plaugher

  • 4-year Varsity player nearing 200 High school career points playing midfield and attack
  • 2009 2nd team All-Metro
  • 2010 2nd team All-Central Florida

Kyle began playing lacrosse in 6th grade for and a year later joined the Huskies Lacrosse Club, then the Jokers Lacrosse Club, both under Tony Moreschi. He was coached by Tom Korrie during his freshman and sophomore years at Timber Creek and Coach Moreschi for the last two years.

Kyle is a two-sport athlete having played football for Timber Creek and won the Most Outstanding Wide Receiver award for 2009 and 2010 on the Varsity team. Kyle chose lacrosse over football for college.
“I decided on Florida Southern because of its academic reputation and what the campus had to offer. I feel the lacrosse program will be a good fit for me and I look forward to becoming part of the team and playing for Coach Ward.”

About playing for Coach Moreschi Kyle said he “wants to thank Coach Moreschi for everything he’s done for me. Coach Moreschi cares about each of his players as young men, preparing to go into the world, not just as players on the field. I know he wants us to succeed in life. I will always remember Coach and what he has taught me. I hope I can make him proud and continue to play hard.”

Kyle also played for Team Florida Elite U-19 “Carolina” team, where he played for Jeff Goldberg, Tom West, and Chris Spaulding. “Team Florida was a great opportunity for me to get college exposure and play with some of the best players from other teams in my area.”
