University (Orlando) High School has set a program best 7 game win streak with wins over Buchholz (12-6), East Ridge (12-11), East River (15-1), Colonial (21-1), Windermere Prep (16-7), Berkeley Prep (11-8), & Lake Minneola (17-2) giving the Cougars a 7-3 record so far on the 2012 season. Strong scoring numbers from Senior Attackman Jerod Coffman, Junior Keith McDavid, & Sophomore Bruce Preeschl have helped the Cougars post solid victories. Senior Stephen Hill, Keith McDavid, Junior Ryan Hill, & Sophomore Austin Cowan winning large numbers of Face offs have helped UHS keep the ball on their side of the field. The breakout efforts of Senior Defenseman Adam Hallsten have helped solidify the Cougar Defense led by Junior Goalie Travis Petty, who continues to post career bests in saves per game, anchored by Seniors Mitch McGahan & Brandon Key. The Cougars have a strong test for the remaining 2 weeks of the season as they will play 6 games in a matter of 12 days, 5 of them at home, due to early season rainout/rescheduling. On April 18th, University will host the District 13 Semi-Final where they will face the number two seed,  Hagerty, in a post-season first for the program.
