On Saturday, February 26th the Warhawks were at home against the Outlaws B junior team.  The Warhawks were led by attacker, Zach Plath with a 3 goal hat trick and supported by multiple goals from both Tyler Timmons and Gavin Gillespee.  Ben Roth, the goal tender enjoyed his first shut -out of the year holding the Outlaw B team scoreless.  The Warhawks won the game 11 – 0 On Saturday, March 5th the Warhawks played a team considered by most to be a local rival.  Most of the athletes on both teams go to school in the same district and play on many of the same sports teams together.  The coaches; Mike Timmons and Brett Roth of the Warhawks and Tom Lomedico and David Wong of the Mohicans all coached together on the same staff last year under the Seminole Youth Lacrosse League.  Many of the athletes played on that same team in the spring of 2010.  The game was played very evenly for the first two periods with the Warhawks taking the halftime lead 3 – 2 on two goals by attack Nathan Timmons and one goal by middie, Sean Timmons.  The Mohicans started off fast in the second half getting three goals in the third period taking advantage of power plays afforded by Warhawk penalties. A late goal by attack Tyler Timmons wasn’t enough for the Warhawks as they went down in defeat to the Mohicans 4 – 7. Total Statistics for the Warhawks thru 2 games: Goals Scored: Nathan Timmons – 3 goals Tyler Timmons – 3 goals Zach Plath – 3 Goals Sean Timmons – 2 goals Gavin Gillespee – 2 goals Jack Smith – 1 goal Ryan Eaton – 1 goal Goal Tenders Records: Ben Roth – 1 win – 1 loss only 7 goals allowed thru two games.
