Why did you choose this college?
I chose Barton College because it was offered as a great opportunity for me to further my skills as a player. The coach is very knowledgeable of the sport and I felt very comfortable with the overall experience that this would give me. Barton had everything I was looking for in a school, education is important to me and Barton had exactly what I was looking for in a Nursing Program.

What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memory would be that I was very nervous playing a new sport but the experience of having teammates that work together to do our best at representing the sport was exciting to me.

What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
The part that was most surprising was that there are many opportunities to play at the college level. It just takes perserverance and commitment. College applications are scary to begin with and to add playing a sport is nerve wracking. Follow your dream and don’t give up.

Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank Coach Ann Bomleny at Windermere High School and my parents for pushing me to be the best I can be at this sport. I especially would like to give thanks to Coach Denham at Barton College for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for Barton College.

Why did you choose this college?
I chose Barton College because I wanted to go to a smaller college and the overall atmosphere at Barton was appealing to me. This was offered as a great opportunity for me as a goalie to perfect my skill. The coach and the team were very welcoming during the recruiting process. I felt very comfortable with the overall experience that this would provide me.

What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memory of the sport was learning to play lacrosse with my neighbor in the backyard. I started out as a defensive player and moved to goalie shortly after that. I remember thinking that the position of goalie comes with a lot of pressure and bruises. Now I find it exciting and fun to be a part of a great group of teammates.

What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
There are many opportunities available for goalies in this sport. You have to reach out to many different schools as it never hurts to try to find just the right place for you. Don’t give up on your dream and keep pushing forward.

Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank Coach Ann Bomleny at Windermere High School and my parents for all their time spent on the field and in the backyard helping me perfect my skill. I would also like to thank Tom Casademont, my neighbor for introducing me to the sport. Lastly I would like to thank Coach Denham at Barton College for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for Barton College.
