via press releases   Press Release on Co-Captains Excerpt: Five members of the Orange were selected to represent the 2017 team as captains. Redshirt seniors Paolo Ciferri, Evan Molloy and Sergio Salcido as well as seniors Scott Firman and Ben Williams will represent Syracuse this season. The quintet was selected by a team vote, with all-five players serving as first time captains. Salcido is one of three returning All-Americans for the Orange this season. A breakout performer in 2016, he finished second on the team with 29 goals and 24 assists for 53 points while starting all-17 games in the Syracuse midfield. Salcido also got hot at the end of the year, averaging over 3.7 points per game over his final-seven games. In addition to his All-America accolades, the Winter Park, Florida native also earned All-ACC and ACC All-Tournament Team accolades last season.   Press Release on AA’s Selected
