GAFFNEY, S.C.. – The No. 14 University of Tampa Spartans fell short in a double-overtime decision against No. 1 and undefeated Limestone College on Saturday in the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Tournament Quarterfinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Following an opening goal by the Saints, UT rattled off five straight goals to lead 5-1.
Andrew Kew recorded the first goal of the afternoon for Tampa.
Kew would assist the following goal, which was the first of two straight scores for Jake Mosher McGraw.
Ross Dickersonwent 18-for-26 from the faceoff X, also finishing with 12 ground balls.
Bryan Karnfaced 21 shots in the goal and came away with nine saves.
UT outshot the Saints 48-35 on the day.
There was a brief weather delay with 6:04 remaining in regulation due to a tornado warning.
Kew concludes his Spartan career as arguably the most decorated player in program history. The Oakville, Ontario native is the all-time leader in goals (259, also an NCAA record), game-winning goals (17), shots (629) and shots on goal (415). He also set the NCAA single-season goal record with 86 in 2017.
