CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Carley Tepel scored seven goals to lead No. 9 (IWLCA Division 2 Top 25) Flagler College to an 18-6 win against Gulf South Conference opponent Lee University Saturday afternoon at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.

This win makes Flagler the back-to-back regular season champions for the GSC. Young Harris College won four-straight titles from 2016 to 2019.

The Saints now sit 15-2 overall and 5-0 in GSC play. The Flames drop to 9-8 for the season and 2-3 in conference.

The Saints scored nine consecutive goals to wipe out at 3-2 Flames advantage and took an 11-3 lead into half.

Ella Pinder and Tristan Usher also aided the Saints offense scoring four goals each.

The Flames managed to score three times in the third quarter. Brittney White led the team with four goals.

Saints goalie Lauren Ribadeniera held down the defensive end with 11 saves and three groundballs. Carly LaFerriere also stood out winning six draw controls.

Flames goalie Kaleigh Bernard made eight saves.

The Saints will return to host the GSC Tournament at the Flagler Lacrosse Field on April 26 and 28. The semifinal round will be played on Friday.
