#4 Spartans Women Look to Get Back on Track Following Loss with #1 Pace Today Up North

TAMPA, Fla. – The Spartans travel to New York for a pair of matchups with two ranked opponents.

The Matchup: No. 4 University of Tampa (2-1, 0-0 SSC) vs. No. 1 Pace (2-0, 0-0 NE10)

Date/Time: Monday, March 4, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

Location: Northwell Stadium. 861 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY., 10570

Series History: Pace holds a 1-0 lead over Tampa.

About the Spartans: Tampa is coming off of a home loss to now No. 2 ranked Adelphi and will look to get back on track as Tampa heads to New York for a two-game stand. The Spartans only dropped one spot in the latest rankings and now sit in the No. 4 spot. Tampa and Pace have only ever faced off once before, with the Setters coming out on top. UT will look to upset the No. 1 ranked team and even the all-time series. 

About the Setters: The Setters are undefeated heading into a top-five matchup with the Spartans. The reigning national champions are 2-0 after wins against Molloy and Wilmington University where they have totaled 45 goals across the two games. The Setters defeated the Spartans a year ago and are looking to improve to 2-0 all-time versus Tampa.
