#6 Keiser Men’s Lacrosse Handles #7 Siena Heights

Keiser men’s lacrosse took down the No. 7 team in the nation today, 24 hours after taking down the No. 2 team. Vincent Cerasuolo scored four goals, and the Seahawks outshot the Saints 47 to 31.

First Quarter
Keiser 4, Siena Heights 2

  • The Saints were the first to score, and picked up a goal two minutes into the game. 
  • After eight scoreless minutes, Braeden Niemy tapped in a goal.
  • Siena Heights won the ensuing faceoff and took the lead with a goal. 
  • Two minutes later, Vincent Cerasuolo tied the game back up. 
  • Two minutes after that, Michael Shephard scored with a Cerasuolo assist. 
  • Cerasuolo scored again with :29 seconds on the clock.

Second Quarter
Keiser 9, Siena Heights 3

  • The Saints scored the first goal of the quarter with 13:36 on the clock. 
  • Keiser answered back 50 seconds later with an Ashton Harris goal. 
  • After seven minutes of defensive deadlock, AJ Badik scored on a man-up opportunity. 
  • Just 20 seconds later, Cole Stassi scored with an assist from Jalen Parker
  • A minute later, Michael Shephard scored his second goal of the day.
  • Vincent Cerasuolo scored with an AJ Badik assist with :08 on the clock to give KU a six goal halftime lead.
Third Quarter

Keiser 12, Siena Heights 6

  • Josten Ucros scored the first goal of the half in the quickest possible way, with 14:59 on the clock.
  • Vincent Cerasuolo scored his fourth goal of the day with 12:25, with a Cole Stassi assist. 
  • Siena Heights got back on the scoreboard with a goal three minutes later, and another goal 44 seconds after that. 
  • AJ Badik scored his second goal of the game with 3:38 showing on the clock. 
  • Siena Heights took control of the ensuing faceoff and scored a goal to put KU’s lead at six going into the final frame.
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 13, Siena Heights 7

  • AJ Badik completed a hat trick just 44 seconds into the 4th quarter, with an assist from Josten Ucros.
  • With 10:30 on the clock, Siena Heights scored the final goal of the game.
  • The Seahawks took five unsuccessful shots on goal, but the KU defense held its ground for the remainder of the game, and Keiser remained undefeated in 2023.

KU Highlights

  • Vincent Cerasuolo scored four goals, and five total points.
  • Christian Tomei (8-0) remained unbeaten and recorded 11 saves. (.611 save percentage)
  • Cam Provines went 14-23 on faceoffs. This was Provines’ third straight game with 14 successful faceoffs.
