FLN has learned that Samantha MacCurdy, who led the St. Thomas Aquinas Girl’s team to the state championship game this season, has been relieved of her position this morning. The decision did not go unnoticed and FLN has learned that a number of parents are looking to try to get STA Athletic Director George Smith to reconsider.     We will continue to seek out more on this in the coming days and will update here if anything else is learned.  Obviously a situation like this where a coach who achieved a championship berth is let go during the summer opens eyes.
