via ERAU press release/website

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — USA Lacrosse Magazine recognized top performers in NCAA II women’s lacrosse with the announcement of its 2023 All-America team on Wednesday. Embry-Riddle Women’s Lacrosse featured two individuals on the All-America roster, with Kaitlyn Henry being named to the third team and Sallie Squire earning honorable mention recognition.

Wednesday’s honor was the second of the year for Henry who was a 2023 All-Sunshine State Conference first team selection. A sophomore from Voorhees, New Jersey, Henry was a mainstay in the Eagles’ defense, starting all 18 games. She caused 20 turnovers, picked up 35 ground balls and won seven draw controls.

Squire is making her second appearance on the USA Lacrosse Magazine honorable mention listing.  The Portsmouth, New Hampshire native, who was also tabbed as a first team All-SSC and first team IWLCA All-Region selection, led the Eagles with 78 points, which included an ERAU single-season-record 70 goals and eight assists. The three-time SSC Player of the Week also led the team in ground balls (56), draw controls (90) and caused turnovers (25).

Henry and Squire helped lead ERAU Women’s Lacrosse to the best season in program history. The Eagles matched the program record for most wins in a season after finishing at 13-5 overall and made the program’s first postseason appearance.
