DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – The Embry-Riddle women’s lacrosse team has unveiled its 2025 season schedule, which includes 17 regular-season games as the Eagles aim for a third consecutive appearance in the Sunshine State Conference tournament. Christina Nikolai returns for her third season with the Eagles, after being elevated to the position of head coach in August 2024, and will lead a roster that includes 16 returning letterwinners.
The 2025 campaign kicks off with an extended road stretch, as the Eagles will play their first seven games away from Daytona Beach. The season opener is set for February 1 against the Alabama-Huntsville. The team then heads to Alabama again the following week to face Montevallo (Feb. 9), before returning to Florida for a non-conference match-up against Florida Tech (Feb. 12).
Next, the Eagles travel to North Carolina, where they’ll take on Lenoir-Rhyne on February 15 and Barton on February 17. The final games of this on-the-road run will take place in Florida with non-conference games at Lynn (Feb. 26) and Flagler (March 5).
The first home game of the season will be on March 7 against Holy Family. This will be the second meeting between the Eagles and Tigers, with Embry-Riddle aiming to replicate last season’s victory. On March 13 the Eagles will host Lee, followed by a March 18 away game at Saint Anselm, the final non-conference match-up of the season.
Sunshine State Conference play begins with a game on March 25 at Rollins. The Eagles return home on March 29 to face the University of Tampa. The team will then travel to Saint Leo on April 2 before returning to the Embry-Riddle campus to take on Palm Beach Atlantic on April 5.
The final away game of the regular season is set for April 9 at Florida Southern. Senior Day will be celebrated at home on April 12 when the Eagles face Florida Tech. The regular season will conclude on April 16 with a home game against Lynn.
The top six teams in the final SSC standings will earn a spot in the conference tournament, which begins on April 19. The higher seed will host each game in the tournament, with the champion securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
