The No. 6-ranked Keiser women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 21-8 win at Warner on Saturday afternoon. Three Seahawks recorded three points in the game (Samantha EsherChloe Foley, and Milena Isturiz). Esher notched her second hat trick of the season while both Foley and Isturiz registered two goals and one assist. In all, 15 Seahawks registered at least one point in the game. Margaret Wroe earned the victory – her fifth of the season. Wroe split time in net with Raelyn Boutwell and Cassidy Green to combine for three saves.

First Quarter
Keiser 6, Warner 3

  • It didn’t take long for the Seahawks to get on the board as Emily McCall found the back of the net with 13:15 left in the first.
  • Thirty seconds later, Sydney Passaro gave Keiser a 2-0 lead. Chloe Foley was credited with the assist on the score.
  • Hayley Frew made it three straight goals for the Seahawks, scoring off an assist by Kamille Thomas (11:55).
  • After a Warner goal made it 3-1, Keiser netted two more to extend the lead to 5-1.
  • Goals by Krystal Beebe (7:22) and McCall (6:41) gave the Seahawks the four-goal lead.
  • The Royals cut into Keiser’s lead with scores by Bailey Dykes (6:38) and Bailey Lightsey (6:23).
  • With 2:05 remaining in the first, Samantha Esher made it a 6-3 game.

Second Quarter
Keiser 15, Warner 4

  • Milena Isturiz scored back-to-back goals to start the second quarter and give Keiser an 8-3 lead (11:42).
  • Kamille Thomas extended Keiser’s lead to six with a goal at the 10:59.
  • Goals by MacKenzie GibaudKrystal Beebe, and Samantha Esher pushed the Seahawk lead to 12-3 with 7:40 left in the half.
  • The Royals ended the Seahawk’s run of seven straight goals as Bailey Dykes cut the Keiser lead to 12-4 (4:24).
  • Chloe Foley scored two straight as Keiser led by double-digits, 14-4 (2:06).
  • The Seahawks closed out the half with Madison Andrews’s first goal of the game with 29 seconds on the game clock (15-4).
Third Quarter

Keiser 18, Warner 5

  • With the running clock in play, Hayley Frew netted the first goal of the second half as Keiser led 16-4 (14:15).
  • Less than two minutes later, Haley Knudsen added the team’s 17th goal of the contest (12:42).
  • Peyton Tomlinson scored her third goal of the season, extending the Seahawk lead to 18-4 with 7:49 on the game clock.
  • The Royals added to the scoreboard with an Abby Petrillo (1:01), making it 18-5.
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 21, Warner 8

  • Both teams netted three goals in the final 15 minutes as Keiser cruised to the 21-8 win.

  • Keiser improves to 8-6 on the year with the win.
  • The Seahawks are now 2-2 in Sun Conference action.
  • Keiser is now 5-2 on the road this season.
  • Esher each had three goals in the game (her second hat trick of the season).

Warner Women’s Lacrosse Falls To The Seahawks On Senior Day

LAKE WALES, Fla- The Royals have their Senior Day in today’s Sun Conference matchup against the Keiser University Seahawks.

The Royals Women’s Lacrosse team celebrates their Seniors Elyse Ginsberg and Abbie Petrillo today as they face off against Keiser University in today’s matchup. The Royals find their first goal in this matchup early in the first Quarter from Vanessa Lynch at 11:27 getting the Royals first goal of the matchup. A little later in this Quarter Bailey Dykes found her an unassisted goal as well and not long after on a free position shot Bailey Lightsey found herself a goal to finish out the first Quarter.  After clawing their way back in the first they could not find the goal as their only goal in the second quarter came from Bailey Dykes with four minutes remaining in the quarter. Coming into the third we could not find an answer to this Seahawks defense only being able to capitalize on another goal opportunity from the senior Abby Petrillo with a minute remaining in the third Quarter. In the final Quarter we see two goals from Bailey Dykes and a goal from Bailey Lightsey to end the game for the Royals. The Royals have one more chance to find their first conference win against SCAD- Savannah as they play their last game of the 2024 season.
