I chose Ohio State because of the tradition, the people, the players, the resources and facilities, and coaches that are building a winning culture. I will be a fourth generation Buckeye when I step onto campus in 2022. My childhood dream was to wear the Scarlet and Gray and represent Buckeye Nation and I couldn’t be more excited. What are your first memories of the sport? Since I grew up in Florida and lacrosse is still fairly new to South Florida my first memory is when I was 8 years old and I was introduced to the sport by my neighbor Steve Bettinger (he played at Syracuse). My dad and I were playing basketball in our drive way and he walked over and said I should try lacrosse. We ended up buying a couple of lacrosse sticks and balls and went to the field and the rest is history. I fell in love with the game from the very first time I picked up the stick. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? The most surprising thing about the recruiting process was getting interest from schools that I didn’t think had interest in me. For anyone going through the process I would recommend having an open mind and enjoying the process. There’s no doubt it’s a stressful process because this was really my first big decision in life. I would also suggest choosing the school for the correct reasons as there are many factors that go into the decision making. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? I would like to thank my parents for their unconditional love and support.. I would like to thank my friends, teammates, coaches, and trainers for pushing me to be my best everyday. I would like to thank my sister Taylor for being my role model (she is a freshman golfer at Florida State) and showing me what it takes to be a success on and off the field. Finally, I would like to thank my grandfather for passing down the tradition of what it means to be a Buckeye. I cannot wait to put on the scarlet and gray jersey and make you proud as you watch over me from heaven.
