ASUN: Jacksonville’s Miller & Stetson’s Diamond Haul in ASUNWLAX Awards For The Week Ending 3/11/18

  via ASUN press release   LakePoint, Ga. – Jacksonville’s Lillie Miller and Stetson’s Liza Diamond collected this week’s ASUN Conference Women’s Lacrosse weekly awards, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Miller, a junior from Eckridge, Md., garners her first career ASUN Player of the Week honor. Last week, she scored three goals and chipped in with three assists in a dominating 20-5 win over Vermont. The midfielder also shot 100% cashing in with three goals on three shots. This season, Miller has racked up 11 points on seven goals and four assists as the Dolphins sit with a 4-2 record. Diamond takes home her second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season, as she won back on February 13th. Last week, Diamond dazzled in the net for the Hatters, stopping 24 shots and earning a save percentage of 53.3 in a 1-1 week. On Thursday against Wagner, the sophomore goaltender stopped 16 shots and had a SV% of 61.5 in a narrow 10-9 overtime loss to Wagner. She followed up that performance with an eight-save outing in a 15-11 win over Central Connecticut State. Diamond leads the ASUN this season in saves (74) and SV% (46.3%).
