Ponte Vedra Ends Oak Hall’s Lacrosse Season

The Eagles’ boys lacrosse team watched its season come to a close when it fell 11-9 to visiting Ponte Vedra in the state semifinal round, a disappointing ending for the most successful season in program history. “Ponte Vedra is one of the best programs in the state,” Oak Hall coach Jonathan Montes said. “They have all the pieces that you need to be a great program. But we have the same thing. The difference tonight was they’ve been doing it longer than we have.” Ponte Vedra struck first when Carter Parlette’s shot found its way past Oak Hall goalkeeper Shayne Ryan in the game’s third minute. The Eagles (16-3) would respond and pull back even with a goal of their own from senior attacker Jaxson Lamb, but the Sharks took the lead back a minute later on a goal off the draw and proceeded to rattle off four unanswered goals before Oak Hall stopped the bleeding.   Read the rest HERE
