Long-stick midfielder Justin Pridgen turned a steal into the go-ahead goal, and Davison Oser made 14 saves to help Bishop Moore outlast Lake Highland Prep and win 9-8 Tuesday in a boys lacrosse Region 2 semifinal.
Bishop Moore (16-5) will travel to Tampa Jesuit, a 7-6 winner over Lithia Newsome, on Friday. The Hornets won 8-5 at Jesuit a year ago on their win to finish as the state runner-up.
Bishop Moore won the teams’ regular season rivalry matchup 14-12 on April 10. This game proved to be every bit as competitive and hardfought, with three ties and two lead changes. Pridgen’s goal with 1:17 left in the third put the Hornets up 8-7, a lead they never lost.
