Benjamin 2021 Trevor Natalie Commits to Jacksonville!

Author’s Note:  Okay, time to step it up a little   Congratulations to Trevor on his college choise and good luck in the future!   Name Trevor Natalie High School The Benjamin School Graduation Year 2021 College Choice Jacksonville University Club Affiliations Team 91 FL     Why did you choose this college? I chose Jacksonville for several reasons, but one of the bigger reasons is that its the only Division 1 Florida program, and playing for a D1 school in my home state for me is pretty cool and an honor. Another reason is Coach Galloway. I immediately connected with his high energy coaching style and I believe he will help make me become the player I’ve want to be at the next level. I’m very excited to be apart of taking Jax to the top of the SoCon conference and to a top contending team in the country. What are your first memories of the sport? My first memories are playing Rec League lacrosse in Martin County with all of my friends and my Dad as the coach. Just out there having fun, enjoying and learning lacrosse without any pressure. Some of my closest friends came from those teams. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? The most surprising part to me was how fast it happened. For me, I went to the prospect day and played my heart out and won over the coaches. For others out there going through the process, I have always believed in playing 150%. Every moment you get to play in front of coaches, no matter how tired you are, play the hardest you possibly can because I guarantee you, coaches will take a player who works harder than anyone out there on a field, over a more talented lazy kid. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? I would like to thank my family especially, my parents for taking me all around the country to play the sport I love and for my dad for being my first ever coach and introducing me to this great game. I would also like to thank all my club coaches for developing my game and play. Along with my club coaches, I want to personally thank coach Roger Bradford, who was my first ever club coach, who has just recently and unexpectedly passed away. He was the first travel coach to truly believe in me, from the first time he saw me play. Playing for Coach Roger will always be a lasting memory for me, one I’ll never forget. I would like to also thank Coach Cordrey and Coach Lowe at The Benjamin School, who have increased my IQ of the game tremendously. Being coached by two well-known legends of the game, with their experience and knowledge is an honor to me.
