Breaking: Boca Raton High School Likely FHSAA Final Four Host!

After following the process for a few months now FLN can confirm that it is highly likely Boca Raton High will be chosen to host the FHSAA Final Four, in conjunction with the Girls’ Flag Football championship.  The FHSAA decided to go with a paired arrangement for the two sports this year to see if attendance would be boosted as well as to try to reduce total costs. The contracts have been signed off by the Palm Beach County School Board and has been sent to Gainesville for final review and sources indicate that it is pretty much a done deal.  Final announcements will hopefully come this week.     Boca Raton High is a located just off the Glades Road exit on I-95, making it easily accessible and there are multiple hotels and restaurants within a mile of the field.  The stadium can sit up to 5,000 utilizing both sides and the press box is lengthy. Currently the schedule is for the weekend of May 11th and 12th and the final schedule will be released with the official announcement.  Most of the time Friday is all four semifinal games, with the Girls starting around noon and 2:30, with the Boys following afterwards.  Finals are usually scheduled for about 4:30pm on Saturday for the Girls and 7:00pm for the Boys.  With the adding of Flag Football to the location it will likely be a championship game earlier Saturday. Stayed tuned to us for updates as they become available.
