Why did you choose this college?
I chose Saint Bonaventure because it felt like home right when I walked on campus. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I also love the small school feeling! I get to study my major and play lacrosse at the highest level!
What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memories are from freshman year having never heard of lacrosse and picking up a stick for the first time. I remember going to my first pre season tournament and watching the games and asking way too many questions. By the third game my coach at the time threw me in there and I didn’t want to come off the field. It was the most fun sport I had ever played. Trying out lacrosse was the best decision of my life.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
The recruiting process was tough this year because of covid. Dead period was going on almost all year and all the prospect camps were cancelled. I thought I wasn’t going to be able to find a home. Something I wish I had known was how early this process started. For those who are going to face it in the future I would tell them it’s never too early to start reaching out to coaches.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would first like to thank my family, I couldn’t have done it without their love and support. Secondly, I want to thank all my coaches that have shaped me into the player I am today and who believed in me the most. These coaches include- Coach Brooke, Coach LeeAnn, Coach Keber, Coach Matt, and Coach Stoltz. It’s funny how it all turned out… in January I signed up for maniax box lacrosse clinic with LeeAnn and she helped me find a home when I thought it was too late. I can’t thank her enough.
