Florida D3 Showcase Set for January 13th in Sarasota

  Florida D3 Showcase has a simple objective: To expose talented Florida HS Lacrosse Players to the extensive array of Division 3 colleges offering an opportunity to play a high level of lacrosse, receive a superior education, and participate in the broad college experience. We are eager to showcase the HS lacrosse talent level here in FL. The Florida D3 Showcase will be held January 13th at the Robert Taylor Community Complex in Sarasota FL. This lighted turf field will provide an exceptional venue for the Showcase.Over 20 D3 Colleges and Universities have committed to attend. Some notable schools scheduled so far include Denison, Colorado College, Williams College, Salisbury Univ. Washington College, Middlebury College, Nazareth College and Kenyon College. More Schools expected to attend. In addition to positional drills, games and an All-Star Game, D3 Coaches will speak to both players and parents regarding the recruiting process and what the workload entails at a D3 institution. Registration will be limited to 120 participants only. All activities will take place on 1 field. You will be seen! Showcase leaders Kyle Donovan and John Keysor played Lacrosse in college. Kyle at Villanova (1976) and John at Hofstra (2006). Kyle continued playing with the New York Lacrosse Club and John continued playing professionally in the MLL. John was an Assistant Coach at Dartmouth College and Head Coach at Mitchell College prior to Cardinal Mooney.  Kyle served as a Coach and Vice President of CONNY Lacrosse for over 25 years. “We both feel that the FloridaHigh School Lacrosse Community can benefit greatly with exposure to an array of Division 3 Institutions, which provide a great education and exposure to high level academics and athletics.
