BALTIMORE, Md. – Florida Southern women’s lacrosse standout Brenna Smith has been named a Preseason All-American by US Lacrosse Magazine. The junior is one of four midfielders named to the 13-member Division II Women’s list.

Smith earned Third Team  All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse after last season, where she recorded 26 goals and eight assists for 34 points, leading the Mocs in all three categories. On March 2, she scored a season-high six goals in a loss to No. 2 Queens (N.C.), then posted a five-goal performance on March 6, against No. 6 Regis (Colo.). For her efforts that week, she was named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week. For her brief two-year career, she has recorded 61 goals and 13 assists.
