via press release   (Tampa, FL) ML8 Events is excited to announced the Future Phenom College Combine in Tampa, FL on December 16th and 17th, 2017. This will be a boys lacrosse combine for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 divisions allowing players to work with College Coaches representing DI, DII and DIII schools from around the country. “It is a great opportunity for players from the various age brackets to be trained by College Coaches from around the Country” said Jessica Pacitto from ML8 Events, “last year we had an incredible response and are increasing our spots and adding more Coaches”. Players will run through various drills that will be put on by top Head and Assistant College coaches throughout the two days with an emphasis on player development. In addition, all participants will be taken through an elite speed and agility footwork training session run by National Instructor Shaun Church. Coaches will then stress the importance that players take what they learn in the drills and apply them in the scrimmages. “Like last year, throughout the two days the players will hear a lot about the importance of their academic performance as well” added Pacitto, “ the kids definitely leave recognizing their effort in the classroom is as important as their effort on the field”. Aside from scrimmages and the positional clinic, players will attend a recruiting seminar and Q&A session with college coaches to discuss the new recruiting rules. Additional offerings will include family invites to open forum discussions with noted NCAA requirements expert Bobby Wynne, Assistant Headmaster & Director of College Advising at the Salisbury School. The overarching goal is to have families leaving the Future Phenoms Combine confident with the college recruiting process and new rules involved. This years event will host David Pietramala from Johns Hopkins University, Charles Toomey from Loyola University, Kyle Hannan from Mercer University, Sean Kirwan from University of Virginia, Kevin Conry from University of Michigan, Matt Karweck from Notre Dame University, and Joe Martin from University of North Carolina to name a few! This event is open to all Boys lacrosse players in the specified divisions. There are limited spots being filled quickly!
