Game Preview: Launch Travel to Dallas for 2018 Finale – 8:00pm on LSN

via the Florida Launch press release   The Launch are traveling one last time this season in hopes of finishing the 2018 season on a high note in Dallas. Even though the playoff hunt for the Launch may be over, they are still highly motivated to end the season with a win, for this last matchup against the top ranked Rattlers. Game will be streamed on LSN Saturday night. Face-off is set for 8PM EST. The team is coming off a double-header weekend, after having played in Ohio last Thursday and then coming home to Boca Saturday evening. In the redemption game against Ohio, the Launch beat the Machine 13-12. Led by a potent attack unit, where Dylan Molloy, Ryan Drenner and Kieran McArdle each had hat tricks, the team outlasted the Machine. Strong goalie play from Austin Kaut also solidified the W, saving 23 shots on cage for his highest save percentage of the year at 68%. Two days later the boys were back at FAU Stadium for their last home game of the season, the opponent, the Atlanta Blaze. The outcome was not one they had hoped for but the team played with heart and hustle after losing face-off specialist, Ben Williams in the first play of the game. “When you lose your face-off guy in the first face-off, it makes for a long night,” said Head Coach Tom Mariano after the game. Connor Buczek and Kieran Mcardle led the Launch offensively with eight points combined and Austin Kaut held his own in cage, saving another 23 shots on goal. In a game that saw highs, lows and an hour lightning delay, the Launch fell to the Blaze 13-16. Dylan Molloy and Austin Kaut are both league leaders this season. Molloy’s 40 goals is number one on the league rankings, while Kaut’s 214 saves this season are 20+ saves better then the second ranked goalie, with 191. This Dallas game will mark Kaut’s 50th career MLL game. Now the team has their final battle, Saturday August 4th at Ford Center in Frisco, TX.  Offensively Ryan Drenner, Kieran Mcardle, Dylan Molloy and Connor Buczek are looking to push through Dallas defensemen Matt Dunn and Joel White. Defensively, long poles, Tucker Durkin and Jarrod Neumann will be keeping a close eye on some sneaky Dallas attackmen Ty Thompson and Ryan McNamara. Face-off starts at 8PM at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas! Tune into LSN to see your favorite team on the field one more time for the 2018 season!
