Author’s Note: It was two years ago that in one of my preseason articles I asked the John I Leonard administration to either get serious about the resources and interest for the sport or to shut the program down since it wasn’t fair to anyone what was going on.Thankfully they took the former.Coach Peters deserves a lot of credit for taking this over and getting his kids to start believing. They also got the schedule right for the place the program is in now. Now that the first one is behind them, and the team understands what hard work can bring, look for more wins this year! A couple of years ago I got on the Immokalee bandwagon and now we can also get on the JIL bandwagon!Good luck the rest of the year and welcome to starting a WINNING streak!Scores by QuarterLeonard: 3/2/6/2/13 Coral Springs Charter: 1/0/0/1/2Leading Scorers per TeamLeonard:Jadiel DeJesus: 4 goals Kervensly Devert: 2 goals 3 assists Jeffery Tinsley: 2 goals 1 assist Julian Perez: 1 goal 4 assistsGoalies and Number of SavesLeonard:Marlon Vazquez: 6 saves on 8 shotsNoteworthy events during gameFirst ever win for John I Leonard boys lacrosse program.
