JU Women: Elms Nets ASUN Player of the Week Honors

  via JU press release   LAKE POINT, Ga. – After posting a career-high six points to lead Jacksonville University women’s lacrosse to its third-straight victory, freshman Sarah Elmswas named ASUN Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. Elms recorded four goals and two assists in the Dolphins’ 19-5 win over Central Connecticut State last Wednesday, March 14. The Severna Park, Md. native converted on 50% of her free-position shots (1-2), picked up two ground balls, and caused three turnovers. Five of her six shots were on cage for a shots-on-goal percentage of 83.3. With 11 goals on the year, Elms is tied for 10th in the league. Elms and the rest of the Dolphins return to action tomorrow, March 21 when they play host to Dartmouth at 4 p.m. To read the full release from the ASUN, click here.
