Why did you choose this college?
I loved how supportive and engaged the coaching staff was throughout the process. From the moment I met with Coach Ward, Frey and Maccario I really felt like I was welcomed. The campus is in a great location. Lakeland is a great town, and it is not a far from Tampa or Orlando. Another thing I really enjoyed was having the lacrosse stadium on Campus.
What are your first memories of the sport?
I began playing lacrosse at 7 years old. I remember my first couple of years and not being a very good player. I barely saw playing time even in Rec. Lacrosse. It wasn’t until my third year, when I was moved to defense that I really found my comfort zone and began to excel in the sport.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
All it takes is one opportunity. Whether good or bad, the coaches watch everything such as body language and how you respond to adversity. If there is any advice that I could pass on to younger players, it would be to always keep your head up even when faced with adversity and always hustle.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank Coach Cam Mahan, Coach Dennis Reilly, and Coach Chris Southard (Sudds). I would also like to thank my parents for the amount of time and commitment they put into my athletic endeavors.
