The No. 4 Keiser men’s lacrosse team fell on the road to the University of Alabama in Huntsville 11-8 Sunday afternoon.

First Quarter

Keiser 1, Alabama Huntsville 3

  • UAH scored the first goal of the game six minutes into the first quarter.
  • The Chargers followed up with two more goals to take a 3-0 lead with 5:51 left.
  • John Senior ended the scoring drought for Keiser with 3:49 remaining to cut the deficit to two, 3-1, heading into the second quarter.


Second Quarter

Keiser 2, Alabama Huntsville 5

  • Hunter East netted his first goal of the contest less than two minutes into the second quarter, trimming the Chargers lead to one, 3-2.
  • Alabama Huntsville responded with the final two goals of the half to take a 5-2 advantage into the break.


Third Quarter

Keiser 6, Alabama Huntsville 8

  • Keiser struck first in the second half with Senior picking up his second goal of the contest at the 12:48 mark.
  • Following a Chargers score, back-to-back goals by Weston Waerness and Anthony Senior brought the lead down to one, 6-5, with 7:59 remaining.
  • Josten Ucros continued the run with his first tally of the contest to tie the game, 6-6, with 4:58 still left to play.
  • Alabama Huntsville scored the final two goals of the quarter to take an 8-6 lead into the fourth.


Fourth Quarter

Keiser 8, Alabama Huntsville 11

  • Dylan Sharpe netted back-to-back goals, both assisted by Cole Stassi, to even the score, 8-8, with 12:08 remaining.
  • UAH tallied the final three goals of game as Keiser fell 11-8 on the road.


KU Highlights

  • 2: John Senior and Sharpe both tallied two goals in the contest.
  • 2: Alex Pineau and Nick Billitier each caused two turnovers in the game.
  • 5: Stassi led the way for the Seahawks with a game-high five points and five assists.
  • 8/12: Cam Provines scooped up a team high eight ground balls and went 12-of-21 on face-offs.
  • 13: Cole George recorded 13 saves in the midday matchup.
