ATLANTA – It was the top-ranked Division II team for the entire regular season and now Minn.-Duluth has been inserted as the top seed for the 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
The Bulldogs (11-1) lead a six-team contingent of Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) representatives in this year’s bracket. No. 2 St. Thomas (7-4), No. 3 Grand Valley State (7-2), No 4 Dayton (9-3), No. 8 North Dakota State (5-7) and No. 10 St. John’s (5-5) round out that conference’s entries.
The SELC, SLC and PNCLL each grabbed a pair of bids to this year’s field. No. 5 North Florida and No. 7 Kennesaw State rep the SELC while No. 15 UC San Diego and No. 11 Northern Arizona carry the SLC flag.
The College of Idaho, the only undefeated team heading into the tournament, is seeded No. 6 and will be joined by fellow PNCLL rival Montana, which checks in at No. 13.
The 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour commences on May 6 and will continue to May 11 when a champion will be crowned in Division II. Tickets to the event may be pre-purchased HERE.
Every game in Salt Lake City will be streamed live on MCLA.us.
