MLL: 2017 Warrior Offensive Player of the Year Nominees Announced – McArdle Nominated!

  as per press release from MLL – photo via MLL   Here are the nominees for the 2017 Warrior Offensive Player of the Year:   Kieran McArdle, Attack, Florida Launch In 10 games with the Launch this season, McArdle averaged 4.6 points per game, the fifth-highest rate in the league. He led the Launch with 46 points total (32 goals, 14 assists) and had at least five points in half of his regular season games. On July 29 at Boston, after the Cannons took a 17-16 lead, McArdle scored the tying goal and picked up the assist on Nick Mariano’s game-winning goal. The win secured Florida’s first ever trip to the postseason.   Eric Law, Attack, Denver Outlaws Law finished the regular season tied with Peter Baum for the league lead in points, with 52 (32 goals, 20 assists) and was named to the All-Star Game for the fourth time in his career.  He matched his most points ever in a season, also recording 52 points in 2014. Law scored the game-winning goal in overtime in the game that clinched a playoff berth for Denver on July 27 against the Bayhawks and tallied a season-high seven points in his last regular season game on August 3 at Chesapeake.   Jordan Wolf, Attack, Rochester Rattlers With 29 goals and 15 assists in nine games, Wolf averaged 4.89 points per game this season, the second-highest mark in the league. Despite missing part of the season due to injury, Wolf led the Rattlers in points for the third straight season. He won the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week in the last week of the regular season when he scored the game-winning goal late in the fourth quarter against Ohio as part of a four-point night. The win clinched a spot in the postseason for the Rattlers.
