NCAA Division II Women’s Tourney – FSC #1 Seed in South, FIT Plays Limestone in Lakeland

  via the NCAA press release – video at link   INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division II Women’s Lacrosse Committee has selected the teams that will compete in the 2018 NCAA Division II Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The championship provides for a 12-team tournament. Four sites will host first- and second- round competition Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12. These preliminary round games will be played on the campuses of the number one seed from the Atlantic, East, Midwest, and South Regions. The winners of the four second-round games will advance to the semifinals and finals which will be conducted Friday, May 18, and Sunday, May 20. The championship will be co-hosted by the University of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, in Tampa, Florida. RELATED: Interactive bracket | Printable bracket  From the Atlantic region, the number two seed, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, plays the number three seed, Mercyhurst University in the first-round, on the campus of the number one seed, West Chester University of Pennsylvania. The winner plays West Chester in the second- round. From the East region, the number two seed, Adelphi University, plays the number three seed, Long Island University/LIU Post in the first-round, on the campus of the number one seed, Le Moyne College. The winner plays Le Moyne in the second-round. From the Midwest region, the number two seed, Regis University (Colorado), plays the number three seed, University of Indianapolis in the first-round, on the campus of the number one seed, Lindenwood University. The winner plays Lindenwood (MO) in the second-round. From the South region, the number two seed, Florida Institute of Technology plays the number three seed, Limestone College in the first-round, on the campus of the number one seed, Florida Southern College.
