Paul Rabil and team wrap first year of national lacrosse tour, work with Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation to give back

Boca Raton, FL – (November 8, 2017) – Lacrosse superstar, Paul Rabil, along with longtime sponsor Warrior/New Balance, have announced plans to donate $5,000 in lacrosse sticks to underserved programs in South Florida. Rabil and team will be working through the Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation (FYLF) to identify and deliver equipment to local programs in need. Together, Rabil and FYLF are planning a physical equipment “drop” to coincide with the final installment of Rabil’s 2017 event series – Paul Rabil Live! The 2017 Tour – which is scheduled to take place in Boca Raton on November 19. “The equipment drop is an opportunity for us to celebrate the completion of the inaugural year of Rabil Tour in a way that is authentic and mission-driven,” said Rabil. “The goal of the Rabil Tour was to create a national event that, first and foremost, provided players with a high-level training and fan experience, but also fell in line with Rabil Events’ overarching goal to spread the game of lacrosse by reducing barriers to entry – including socioeconomic barriers, geographical barriers, and the exclusivity that we sometimes see in more traditional club-operated events. We hope it conveys some level of our gratitude to everybody that supported and continues to support our efforts in the lacrosse community.”     Paul Rabil founded a lacrosse events business, Rabil Events, in early 2017, along with co-founder Mick Davis, with the goal of creating great lacrosse experiences by the best lacrosse players in the world. Paul Rabil Live! the 2017 Tour, was the team’s first original concept. Through 2017, Rabil and team have hosted 13 separate Paul Rabil Live! events in 13 major market cities with a collective attendance of more than 2,000 players and 2,000 parents. The event merges Rabil’s instruction with a curated fan experience including live music, autographs, professional photographers, and multiple high-value giveaways – including nearly 100 brand new Warp lacrosse sticks and heads donated by Warrior. Rabil and team also worked with multiple urban lacrosse non-profit organizations to scholarship nearly 150 athletes through 2017. Partner organizations include: Harlem Lacrosse, City Lacrosse, Denver City Lax, Metro Lacrosse, WINNERS Lacrosse, and multiple local rec organizations. Rabil and team will be working through FYLF to identify local programs in need and facilitate delivery to those programs. Per all FYLF donations, non-profit programs will be chosen based on basis of maximum benefit, need, quality of organization, and their prospect for future success. FYLF was founded in 2001 with the mission to provide support for youth lacrosse throughout the state of Florida. Since inception, they have contributed nearly $400,000 in funds and equipment to more than 150 organizations. “Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation’s impressive level of experience and history of giving in South Florida communities makes them an ideal candidate to work with from both a joint-mission and fulfillment perspective,” said Davis. For the donation, Rabil Events will work with Warrior to donate $5,000 worth of “Warp NEXT” sticks – one of one of Warrior’s latest product creations. These lacrosse sticks will provide players with a product that is much better than standard entry-level sticks and are easier to use than any other entry level stick on the market. Video of the equipment drop will be captured by Rabil’s media team and distributed via Rabil’s YouTube channel as well as via additional personal Paul Rabil media channels (InstagramTwitterFacebook).
