via Rollins press release   WINTER PARK, Fla.  (March 6, 2018) – Junior midfielder Kallie German scored her 100^th goal of her career as the 13^th-ranked Rollins women’s lacrosse team made easy work of tenth-ranked Queens University of Charlotte on Tuesday evening at Cahall-Sandspur Field.  The Tars saw eight different players contribute to the scoring efforts on the night as Rollins routed the Royals by a final score of 15-4, marking a key South Region victory and an upset over the 10^th-ranked team in the country. The win advances the Tars to an overall record of 4-2 on the season, while Queens drops to 1-3 overall. German scored her 100^th career goal on a free position shot with 9:33 remaining in the first half, making her the fifth player in program history to eclipse the 100-goal mark.  The Centreville, Md. native notched a hat trick and added two assists to lead the team in overall points on the night with five, adding one ground ball, one draw control, and two caused turnovers on the night.  Sophomore Hannah Ashton led the team in goals, scoring four to lead the game.  Megan Cury and Paige Brock matched Ashton in points with four apiece, as Cury netted two goals and matched a career best two assists, while P. Brock scored a hat trick and added an assist of her own.  Maggie Dougherty, Nikki Stumpf, and Hannah Coakley each scored one goal on the night, with Stumpf adding two assists for three points overall.  Lily Rizk dished out two assists of her own, wrapping up the Tars’ scoring efforts for the day.  Brooke Ottaway led the team in ground balls with four, followed by Ashton with three.  Dougherty earned a team best three draw controls, while Lindsay Van Beck and German earned a team best two caused turnovers apiece.  In goal, senior Malorie Olin played a full game, earning six key saves while allowing only four goals as she saw a total of 15 shots and 10 shots on goal throughout the night. The Royals saw a team best three goals from Katie Wardle, while Taylor Quade scored a goal of her own.  Earning Queens’ lone assist on the night was Hanna Scott.  Cammy Case led the team with three ground balls, while Ally Blood earned a game high five draw controls and Kyleigh Masteran posted a team best two caused turnovers.  In goal for the Royals, Chase Brokaw played almost an entire game, seeing a total of 58:50 in cage.  Brokaw earned eight saves while allowing 15 goals as she faced a total of 29 shots and 23 shots on goal throughout the night. HOW IT HAPPENED:

• First Half:  Rollins got off to an early start with a goal by German off of an assist by Rizk at the 28:42 mark, and the Tars extended their lead with two more goals over the ensuing 10 minutes to take a 3-0 lead with 19:29 on the clock.  Queens halted the run with a goal off of a free-position shot by Wardle with 14:46 to go in the half, setting the score at 3-1.  However, the Tars answered back with an unassisted goal by P. Brock a minute later, which ignited a six goal streak to close out the first half, including two goals in the final 37 seconds of action.  After the first 30 minutes of regulation, Rollins held on to a 9-1 lead at the break.
• Second Half:  The Tars got the second half scoring started thanks to a goal by Cury at the 28:23 mark, but Wardle put the Royals on the board on an unassisted goal at the 26:15 mark to set the score at 10-2.  Rollins continued to dominate the game, outscoring Queens in the second stanza, 6-3, to close out the game with a final score of 15-4.

• Senior Megan Cury matched a career best in assists in a game with two
• Brooke Ottaway notched a new career high in ground balls in a game with four
• Nikki Stumpf matched a season best three points, which she has achieved in three total games in her first season with the Tars.
• Kallie German‘s three goals on the night place her at 101 for her career.  She is now one of five players in program history to eclipse the 100-goal mark.  German currently ranks seventh in program history in overall points with 151, fifth in career goals with 101, and fourth in assists with 50.  German also sits second in program history in free-position goals with 42, and is just five free-position goals away from tying program leader Erica Pagliarulo `13, and six away from taking over as the program’s all-time leader in free-position goals scored.
• Malorie Olin currently ranks second in program records for career saves with 394.  She sits behind Elyse De Lisle `14, who amassed 463 in her career.
• Lindsay Van Beck has moved into third in program record books for caused turnovers in a career with 65.  She sits 42 caused turnovers behind program leader Courtney Bianculli `13, who amassed 107 in her time with the Tars.
• The Tars are now 7-3 in the all-time series with the Royals, and remain undefeated against Queens when playing in Winter Park.
• The Tars enter into the week sitting 13th on the IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll, and sit 18th on the NIKE/US Lacrosse Division II Top 20.
• Queens sits at No. 10 on the IWLCA DII standings, and are ranked 14th on the NIKE/ US Lacrosse DII Top 20.
