Saint Leo Women: First Year Head Coach Caitlin Hansen Leads Lions Into 2018 Season on Sunday

  via Saint Leo web site   SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women’s lacrosse season is set to open the 2018 season on Sunday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m under the direction of first year head coach Caitlin Hansen. Saint Leo will open the season hosting three straight games at University Turf Stadium beginning on Sunday, February 11, at 1:00 p.m. against Molloy. Opening day… The Sunday afternoon home opener will feature the Saint Leo Lions against the Molloy College Lions. Molloy College will face Florida Tech in Melbourne, Fla. on Friday, February 9 before heading to Saint Leo on Sunday. The Molloy women’s lacrosse team was ranked 17th overall in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women’s Preseason Top 20, selected fourth in the East Conference preseason poll. Promotion… The first 100 people at the game will be receive Dunkin Donut donuts to celebrate the season opener. Larson scored 26 goals, assisted in two, earned 26 ground balls, caused eight turnovers and tallied 21 draw controls during her junior campaign. Ross also put up numbers in 2017 with 18 goals, eight assists, 15 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, and 23 draw controls. Familiar faces, Jody Madsen and Amanda Coppolo each return from their senior undergraduate redshirt season. In addition to the experienced veteran roster, Hansen showcases six newcomers to the Lions’ roster.
