Lee’s Note: Usually I prefer to be able to report from both teams stats and input for these. Please remember that when you do this. This score was a surprise as to the margin. CM has built a heck of a program and will contend for the Final Four in Class 1A. Ponte Vedra is on a heck of a roll right now and deserves their #1 ranking. This Thursday PV will be playing Gilman of the MIAA on the Under Armour Game of the Week. That is a live streaming broadcast that I watch during the season, as they cover MIAA games all season as well as the MIAA playoffs. Stay tuned for details on how to watch the game. This is one where we can put aside our own rivalries and pull for the Florida team to carry the banner of the sport here. A win over either Gilman or Boys’ Latin is a big deal for us.Scores by Quarter 6-1 PV after 1 quarter 8-1 PV at the half 10-3 PV after 3 14-3 PV final Leading Scorers per Team -Freddie Amato led PV with 5 goals!! On Saturday PV played Cardinal Mooney, out of Sarasota, in the annual “Moe’s Classic” event at Jacksonville University. Cardinal Mooney is a consistently ranked state program and posed a tough match up for the Sharks, but the game was over early for the Cougars. PV jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 5 minutes, and dominated the rest of the way in route to a 14-3 victory. The Sharks move to 6-0 on the season. On Wednesday, the PV team & coaches will travel to Baltimore/D.C. to face two top 20 national ranked teams…Gilman School & Boys Latin. It will be a great test, and experience for the Sharks. The team will also partake in a White House Tour, so a trip to remember for the young men!
