Tech again answered with a 6-0 run, this one stretching into the second half, to corral a 15-5 lead and force running time. The Sailfish got back on the board with just over 20 minutes left off a goal by Grace Bartlinski. The Panthers were able to tack on three more scores to push the lead to 18-6 with 11:59 remaining. Following PBA’s final score of the game with 5:27 left, Dunn found Kaplan for the record-tying goal with 3:16 to go. Cairo then netted an unassisted goal late in the game to seal the deal for the Panthers. Florida Tech more than doubled-up the Sailfish in shots (35-17) and ground balls (26-12).
